About Nanobubbles

Nanobubbles are a breakthrough in nanotechnology. They offer unparalleled opportunities in many fields – from medicine to environmental protection to materials science.

What are nanobubbles? Nanobubbles are very small gas bubbles with a diameter of less than 1 micrometer that can be dispersed in a liquid or adsorbed on a solid surface. Nanobubbles have remarkable physical and chemical properties such as high stability, long residence time in water, large specific surface area, high gas transfer efficiency and interfacial potential, and the ability to generate free radicals. Thanks to their size and negative charge, nanobubbles maintain their stability for up to several months, which increases their effectiveness in many applications, including:

  • Agriculture and horticulture: the presence of nanobubbles in irrigation systems accelerates plant growth, increases flowering and inhibits the growth of algae, bacteria and microorganisms,
  • Water and wastewater treatment: Nanobubbles effectively remove contaminants by improving the flotation process, increasing aeration or generating active free radicals.
  • Construction: the use of water with nanobubbles can reduce the absorbability and porosity of concrete, increasing its compressive strength,
  • Medicine: water with nanobubbles is used to treat atopic dermatitis, disinfect skin and wounds, and treat burns,
  • Swimming Pool Industry: The use of nanobubbles brings measurable benefits in water purification and disinfection without the use of chemicals, thus eliminating the unpleasant pungent smell of chlorine,
  • Cosmetology: baths in water with nanobubbles effectively cleanse and moisturize the skin, as well as refresh and smooth the complexion,
  • Sports: water containing oxygen and ozone nanobubbles is safe and healthy, and drinking it by athletes can improve performance and recovery after exercise.

These are just some of the possible applications of nanobubbles. Our R+D team is constantly looking for new applications for nanobubble technology.
